**The President Julie Chong and members of the Lions Club Of Kuching Ixora, their spouses and children, Friends of Lions visited the Rumah Kanak-Kanak at km 19, Jalan Kuching/Serian on Saturday, 12th September 2009 to bring gifts and food rations.
The visit is part of the club's 'Service for Children' project in reaching out to children and addressing their needs.
International Director Ellis Suriyati witnessed the presentation of individual gifts and 'Duit Raya' to the children by Club President Julie Chong. 51 children benefited from this care project.
The principal of the home, Ms Khoiriyah Bt. Cholil Purnomo briefed the Organizing Chairperson of the project, Ln Azizah Ali and the others present on the history of the home and its administrative structure.
All in all, a day well spent carrying out a fruitful and meaningful project. It is hoped that this simple project be the starting point of many more meaningful ones. So, TOGETHER LET'S DO IT !
